CEASA Bank

How was CEASA Bank born?

From Bairo Leandro Gonzalez Martinez's drive to connect food producers and buyers. He says he spent six months at home building the foundation.

CEASA Bank was born, according to Bairo Leandro Gonzalez Martinez, from six months of barely leaving the house, in front of a computer, building the foundation of a niche artificial intelligence for agribusiness. The goal was to give producers, traders and buyers at the wholesale food markets a direct connection, without the usual layers of middlemen.

The six months

He says he started without knowing how to code. He asked for wisdom, understanding and courage, and began to write, test and fix until the foundation stood. The company that operates the brand today had already had a CNPJ since 2019; the six months built the platform and the AI that gave the project its shape.

One more no

He says that, when he looked for partners to connect the platform to the financial system, banks told him it wasn't possible, and some refused to integrate the solution. True to his rule that every no is the ground of a yes, he shifted his focus to what depended on him: artificial intelligence, financial messaging under the ISO 20022 standard, blockchain and tokenization of real-world assets.

ISO 20022 is the messaging language that the Swift network made mandatory for cross-border payments between institutions in November 2025. Tokenization of real-world assets has also grown in recent years, with major asset managers launching tokenized funds.

After those six months, three old acquaintances joined him to carry the project forward.
