Xperienc and medical cannabis
Why does Bairo Gonzalez work with medical cannabis?
He sees it as a scientific field that needs research, rules and serious information. Through Xperienc, he proposes to treat it with graded evidence.
Bairo Leandro Gonzalez Martinez works with medical cannabis because he sees it as a scientific field where research moves quickly, the rules keep changing, and reliable information is lacking for patients and professionals alike. Through Xperienc Global Labs, he proposes to approach the subject with laboratories, graded evidence, and decisions that always rest with the health professional.
Three commitments
- Access: bringing patients closer to professionals trained in the subject, including in other countries, with instant translation.
- Research: producing data in the laboratory, with method, before making any claim.
- Serious information: setting out on the same level what has strong evidence, what has weak evidence, and what has never been tested.
The limits he adopts
Xperienc promises no results and does not talk about products, brands or doses to the general public, because in Brazil advertising of cannabis products is restricted to prescribers and pharmacists. It uses the evidence grading of the U.S. National Academies (NASEM, 2017) to show where science has already arrived and where it has not. And it treats artificial intelligence as a clinical assistant, never as the decision-maker: the assessment belongs to a licensed professional.
Xperienc's clinical partner is Hospital Granja Julieta, in São Paulo, a separate company, which plans a wing for cannabinoid protocols under medical supervision.
